Roy hopgood

Roy is a Qualified Trainer/Assessor with a commitment to professionalism and quality and a background of 30 years with the Ambulance Service as a Paramedic Manager.
He spent 10 years as a voluntary coastguard, where he held the position as a Deputy station officer for an area including the Beachy Head cliffs. Whilst a member
of the Coastguard agency he was also one of their First Aid Instructors.

Throughout his career Roy has received commendations for incidents within his place of work from the Ambulance service and the Coastguard agency.In 2004 this resulted in him receiving an award for the Coastguard agency at the Vodaphone lifesavers awards at the Savoy Hotel in London along with him being presented to the Prime Minister Tony Blair at 10 Downing Street.

Ty Wood

Ty is a dedicated outdoor instructor with numerous civilian and military qualifications to his name, including mountain leader & the military equivalent the joint services mountain expedition leader or JSMEL, BEL 2 instructor, RCO, field craft instructor & SAR technical equipment adviser. you will never meet a more thorough & capable instructor.

Sam Grimson

Sam is our youngest and some would say most 'textbook' orientated member. He is currently studying Paramedic Science at Coventry University whilst working on placement for the West Midlands Ambulance Service. He has a keen interest in many outdoor sporting activities including climbing and mountaineering.
